FAQ
What is the Horatio Theater?
The Horatio is a for-profit, professional theater that produces shows throughout Tacoma. It was started by Erik Hanberg a Tacoma booster and arts manager.

Why is it called “The Horatio?”
At the end of Hamlet, Horatio tried to kill himself with the poison that was slowly killing Hamlet (because that’s what good friends do, naturally). Hamlet stops him and says, “Horatio, I am dead, Thou liv’st. Report me and my cause aright to the unsatisfied.” Horatio is charged with telling Hamlet’s story, and it is in his spirit of storytelling and friendship that the Horatio Theater is formed.
